Injecting DRA into pipeline
The actual installation needed at the injection point varies with DRA type used. This is an important issue because of DRA molecule in the pipeline wears out in the pump station. That is why fresh DRA must be injected after every pump station. The injection is done on the pressure side of the main pumps. The injection pump type depends on the DRA type and on pressure levels of the pipeline. When using the emulsion type one can use standard pumps in most of the cases.
